About the camp

The “Camp international de nage avec palmes” was a course for finswimming athletes and coaches. All training sessions took place in the sea: open water finswimming with bi-fins, monofin and centre snorkel, with 10 Algerian athletes and 2 coaches.

  • Organised by the Club Sportif Amateur Bougie Aqua Club with the Ligue de sauvetage, de secourisme et des activités subaquatiques de Béjaïa
  • With the support of the Directorate of Youth and Sports of Béjaïa, the municipality (APC) and the provincial assembly (APW) of Béjaïa, and the Algerian federation for lifesaving, first aid and underwater activities
  • Coaches: Karim Aissat, affiliated with Finswimming Team Komet, and Mohammed “Momo” Azeggagh (Club de Plongée Béjaïa and the local swimming club)
  • Technique in the water, open water skills and training planning for the coaches

Later in 2022 two Algerian coaches joined our online course for finswimming coaches.
